Born in 1981 in Ōtotahi, Christchurch, her work has developed in an organic way throughout her life. She began her artistic journey at the Rudolf Steiner school and grew her love of beauty and the evocative from there.

Her formative years were spent abroad, exposing her to all manner of experiences that inform her current work. Her return to Aotearoa New Zealand, her love of family and the New Zealand light inform her work, leaving her with the need for quiet images and peace. The quiet became the primary purpose of her work.

Her time spent living in Australia, Fiji, England, Ireland and Europe has given her a wide view of reality, which has informed her work. She focuses on evocative space and emptiness to allow for the senses to experience beauty. Something that is needed in the busy world of today.

New ventures into sculpture are opening her work up to new topics close to her heart, and the impulse to create beauty and find delight in the face of loss and struggle has gained momentum in recent years.
